The 2020 summer conference of the Society for Pidgin and Creole Linguistics will feature the following debates: 

 What's in a Creole?

Invited discussants Kofi Yakpo (The University of Hong Kong) and Eeva Sippola (University of Helsinki) 

 Can Creole languages be used as languages/mediums of instruction?

Invited discussants Joseph T. Farquharson (The University of the West Indies) and Beatrice Jeannot-Fourcaud (Université des Antilles) 

A special session in honor of Annegret Bollée will be organized by Susanne M. Michaelis (Leipzig University).
